Welcome:
Hello and welcome to the The Drunken Tyromancy Show, an audiovisual podcast series.
Please, for the love of fuck, do not call this a vlog, I can handle blog, but vlog is stupid, and while I acknowledge that podcasts BEGAN as audio only, if you’re going to go all anal on me right from the start, that doesn’t bode well for the relationship.
Now … It’s my birthday today, so this is a kind of birthday present to myself, to write produce and publish my first video for this project, and while yes it is just a welcome and introduction video to the series, I hope to be producing a lot more content very soon, and to quickly develop an audience, and gain your support to continue with this project. So being my birthday, please give generously (if you can) to see this whole thing move forward.
What I will cover in this video and the accompanying text, is an overview of the project and what it is all about, followed by a list of resources in terms of where to find content and how to engage with or otherwise support the project.
Next item on the agenda: what is this all about?
Purpose of this article/video:
Firstly, this article and accompanying video, is to help you navigate where I will be publishing content and related matters, so I may update it in the future if there are changes, and that is likely given that there are many publishing platforms available, but some of them require building an audience elsewhere before they are of much use, while others are better when you’re starting up, and since I am doing all this solo, and I do not have any help to organize anything at present, I will just be adding things to the mix slowly as I get used to how each platform works, and what I can do with it.
What is Drunken Tyromancy:
As you may have seen elsewhere, Drunken Tyromancy is defined such that:
Tyromancy: being the divination of the future using cheese
Drunken Boxing: a form of Kung Fu (see the earlier films of Jackie Chan)
Drunken Tyromancy: is therefore a psychic martial art performed with wine, cheese, sarcasm, satire, and for the purpose of both preventing an even worse future, by ridiculing those responsible for the present and their imbecilic agenda, as well as it all being a great method of catharsis to release the stress which results from living on an insane asylum planet that is run by the worst of the patients.
In other words, this is my way of achieving catharsis for myself by sharing my thoughts with you in various forms, and using everything from comedy to logic and philosophy to make sense of an insane world.
So some of the content is going to be a little serious, a lot of it I hope will at least be a entertaining, funny, or informative perspective on the subject … as I hope to teach as well as entertain, by pointing out the flaws in the arguments you’re presented with in the media on various topics, and along the way, I would like to also do interviews, maybe some reviews of books, movies, or products.
So the possible subject matter I could cover is pretty much without restriction, and as a person who has studied so many things and worked in so many areas, I am pretty good at seeing the things that other people miss, and I hope you will find my perspective interesting.
Questions:
If you enjoy hearing my perspective on things and want to hear me answer a specific question, I will definitely be turning this into a crowd-funding reward, but as I am still in the process of setting all that stuff up, just ask away when you make a donation via one of the platforms that are ready to accept it and where they have a message box next to the donation window.
Interviews & other Requests:
Similarly, if I get around to interviewing people, if you want to be interviewed yourself, you have a suggestion of someone I should interview, or some other request, please do so with some kind of support or donation. I cannot guarantee at this stage that I will respond to every request, and payment should not be taken as a promise on my part, as I have a great deal to learn, I am doing it all on my own, and I am also going to avoid things which I think have some kind of potential negative consequences.
Initial Content Repositories:
There are lots of content platforms out there, some very good ones, upon which we can all publish various forms of content, and I looked at many of them and read articles and made comparisons and wrote emails to their sales and support lines to differentiate between attitudes of censorship and all that stuff, then weighed the differences between audience reach, profit sharing, functionality and so on, to decide where to publish first, where next and so on … but those decisions are not finalized, and certainly if anyone out there happens to be an expert in all these platforms and willing to give me a hand, I would really appreciate it (sorry I have no budget yet, so I cannot pay, I am doing this all on my own because I have spinal damage and no income, so every day I am living off savings, not even getting a government disability pension, and hence this audiovisual podcast is an attempt to make some money for the first time in a long while).
Website - parent website for all projects and general info:
I set up this website (shihhoko.org/#tyromancy) as a kind of parent or umbrella site, to describe a great many projects I want to do, and to eventually have a blog sub-domain and other resources relating to all projects and how they all play a part in a much larger vision.
At the moment I am only working on the podcast, but if you see anything else on this website and want to talk to me about it, you can do so via the contact form.
The link provided above goes directly to The Drunken Tyromancy Show audiovisual podcast project, and provides various links about it, but note the TwitterX handle @drunktyro got very quickly banned when I dared mention how gleeful the Israelis looked on their murder spree. I guess the censorship board didn’t like that, so they made a false accusation that I had somehow prevented someone else using TwitterX during a period of time during which I wasn’t even online at all (as I was busy fixing laptops for several days), proving no definitive description of precisely what they were accusing me of doing, nor when, nor a link to any evidence of the accusation, and taking only 2 seconds to send an automated email reply every time I appealed the decision, claiming they had “reviewed” my appeal (magically in under 2 seconds).
Twitter:
So if anyone has any sway with Twitter or advice on how to get that account reinstated, I do not want to give up on it, because @drunktyro is nice short relevant handle to use … in the meantime, I will publish via @galacticprez.
Since Elon Musk reversed the old bans when he bought the platform, I got that @galacticprez account reinstated from a past similar ban, but it seems he is not committed to free speech as much as he claims to be committed, and his staff very quickly proved it with my new account … hence, I will only be publishing shorts and comments on TwitterX, but some of that content will be unique in the sense that if I see something worthy of comment on X, I will just make a comment but not necessarily share that elsewhere.
Rumbe & Locals:
Anyway … Rumble and Locals seem to be one of the best deals out there in terms of keeping most of your own earnings and not being censored, so I will start there, and all content will be there (assuming the platform allows the content type to be posted).
I will post a certain amount of initial free content here, and start to change it and scale it according to how the financial support kicks in … though I am not against giving free content to those who cannot afford it, this is all new to me, and I need to find the right balance, and one thing I am contemplating is a kind of “pay it forward” system, where those that can offer support are essentially determining how much of the content becomes available later for free to everyone else.
If anyone has any advice on how this can all be done, I am open to ideas.
Odysee & BitChute:
Seems similar, but I don’t know much about it, but I will publish at least some content across there until I learn more - nothing there at present, but hopefully soon:
Patreon:
Seems like it combines the features of Rumble and Locals into a single platform in some regards, with other functionality that Locals is missing, but my email to them regarding matters about censorship got a disappointing answer, and so I do not trust the platform entirely, and while I will use it, I won’t risk building too much over there, as their policy is not far removed from YouTube (whom I definitely don’t trust).
Patreon being a complete crowd-funding solution seems quite valuable, but it also means there’s more work involved, and so until I get help or a better grip on everything else, while I have set it up, I will not actually be using it at first.
So again, nothing there just yet, but this is where I will publish when it is ready:
Facebook & YouTube:
Since YouTube and Google are so heavily into spying, censorship, and so on, and since their platform is rather greedy and not particularly generous, I do not see much point in publishing full length content over there, so instead, my YouTube channel will only get teasers and shorts, and you will have to come across to some other platform to see the full content, because otherwise I am just giving stuff to Google for free ... and the whole "don't be evil" thing just didn't have enough commitment from them for my tastes you know.
Since Facebook is basically the same, I will approach them the same way - ie: some content will go there, but only in order to get people to go listen to, watch, or read the full content elsewhere
Substack & Telegram:
It seems that Substack is mainly good for publishing articles, though it does have the capacity for other content types, so what I will likely do is use it as a repository for written articles in their full form, which may contain embedded audiovisual content, and/or links to audiovisual content hosted elsewhere, and these articles can then be linked across to other sites, or in some cases copied across, such as perhaps with Telegram.
Where to Connect:
I am not entirely sure as yet how people can get in touch, excepting that some of the support links via Locals etc. for donations via Stripe or PayPal, allow you to send a message with your donation - I figured it was only fair that if you’re sending me money I should at least listen to what you have to say - and no promises just yet, but there is a good chance I will reply as soon as I have time.
I have set up a support email address for locals, which is support.locals at drunkentyromancy.com … and there is also the contact form on the shihhoko.org website … excuse me breaking it up like that, but I don’t want to make it too easy for the spam bots, and I have put in several measures to reduce spam on that website contact form.
Giving me money or offering something else of value is of course the best way to get a response, because even just setting this whole thing up so far, before producing any content at all, has been an enormously time consuming, expensive, frustrating and complex an endeavour … so I really need to prioritize things and that means those who pay come first of course, but I will try my best to appease everyone, I am all too familiar with how it feels to be poor, I spent a great deal of my adult life with no money at all, including being homeless for a while.
Where to Contribute:
For now, I will start with just a few of the possible donation & support portals:
- drunkentyromancy.locals.com/support/promo/CHEDDAR
- buymeacoffee.com/drunkentyromancer
- donate.stripe.com/bIY8wMbIbdI7cIEdQQ
- paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=6SA8Q47VVCVLG
Using either of those last two links should allow you to send me a message with your donation, so feel free to say happy birthday also :-)
