Intro:
I was asked to speak about domestic violence, in the context of it apparently being the biggest and most important issue over all else in our entire country (Australia), but as serious as the problem is, I just cannot agree, and this video is about the entire conversation that I think needs to take place, rather than just 1 part of it.
Social Engineering and Manipulation:
Essentially my argument about this is that while yes it is true that there are specific cases of things like domestic violence, this is no more indicative of the entire arena of related issues of the battle of the sexes, than “climate change” is any kind of accurate depiction of the vast array of ecological issues on the planet, and if you take any single element out of the entire discussion of such wide ranging issues and dumb it down to a simple position, which people likely don’t even understand before taking sides on an emotional basis, then you’re essentially offering yourselves up as “useful idiots” to those forces in society who both engineer, misrepresent and invent problems, or simply railroad someone else’s issue, in order to support their own agenda of “divide and conquer”.
Domestic violence is unfortunately no different, and to sum it up as a problem that only women experience is inaccurate, and to pretend that this form of violence is always worse than other forms of violence which aren’t even acknowledged in the discussion, is essentially doing exactly what those in power want you to do. Such a position for example ignores the daily economic violence and humiliation suffered by every single person who lives in poverty, and which they experience day after day after week after month after year after decade, unless they escape it some other way than death … and as tragic as domestic violence is, it constitutes nowhere near the social problem as all the poverty going on.
Should people be free of violence, ideally sure, but it happens, and you won’t solve any of it while misrepresenting the entire issue because your main objective is to dumb it down, remove all discussion and debate, and all seemingly achieving nothing more than the chance to do some virtue signalling … that won’t change anything.
Conclusion:
So have a listen and make up your own mind, but I hope I have at least gotten you to contemplate a wider view of all issues by using this one as an example.
